General guidelines
The maximum capacity for cooking is 3/4 of the total volume of the item. Before using, remove all labels and tags from the product and wash it. Use on low heat to prevent food from sticking to the bottom of the stock pot.
The triple-ply bottom distributes heat evenly so high heat is unnecessary. It also allows you to save power. When the stock pot is used on the gas stove, the flame should not go beyond the bottom of the stock pot. If using on a hot plate, the plate diameter should be the same or smaller than the pan's.
Do not heat the food by placing a stock pot or other utensil of the same diameter over another. This is a dangerous procedure, as it creates a vacuum that makes it impossible to separate them. Do not leave an empty stock pot on a heat source. Only place hot stock pot on heat-resistant surfaces.
Always dissolve salt in boiling water or with the food, stirring ingredients when cooking begins. Some foods contain starch, such as pasta and rice. These can stain the inside of the stock pot during cooking. To easily remove stains, wipe with a cloth dampened with lemon juice or vinegar or use Tramontina's stain remover.
Avoid leaving food in the stock pot for a long time; salt can also cause stains and corrosion. To maintain your stainless steel stock pot beauty and shine, we recommend that you only wash it with mild detergent and a sponge.
Additionally, the frosted parts of the pan can be cleaned by using the abrasive side of a sponge with liquid soap should stains arise. After washing, whenever possible, rinse the stock pot with warm water and dry it immediately so it keeps its original shine because chlorine and other substances contained in water could stain the stock pot.
