A 4-tier commercial coolroom shelving kit built for the harshest environments in a commercial kitchen — coolrooms, freezers, wet prep areas, dishpits, and outdoor storage. Polypropylene over a steel core means the structural strength of metal shelving with none of the rust, corrosion, or peeling that kills standard wire shelving in a wet environment. The whole unit handles temperatures from -30°C to +60°C, which covers everything from walk-in freezers through to the dry store.
The vented shelf design is what makes this suited to a coolroom rather than a dry store. Air flows through the perforations across the full surface of each shelf, which keeps cold air circulating around stored stock — critical for food safety, even cooling, and preventing the warm spots that develop in poorly-ventilated coolrooms. The same airflow works in reverse in dry storage, keeping bagged goods dry rather than trapping humidity underneath.
Each shelf height is independently adjustable on a split-sleeve system with marked intervals, so you can reconfigure the spacing as your stock profile changes — drop a shelf for taller stockpots, raise one to fit standard tubs, or pull a shelf out entirely if you need vertical clearance. The shelf mats lift out for cleaning and go straight into a commercial dishwasher, which is the difference between shelving that actually gets cleaned and shelving that just gets wiped over.
Built for the load. Sizes up to 1220mm long are rated to 200kg per tier evenly spaced; the longer 1525mm and 1825mm sizes carry 150kg per tier. That handles the weight of stacked stockpots, filled bain-marie inserts, full crates of produce, or boxed dry goods without sagging.
The kit includes everything needed to assemble a 4-tier unit out of the box — posts, post connectors, shelves, and traverses. Add additional shelves separately to convert to a 5 or 6-tier configuration, or use the spare shelf SKUs to replace a damaged shelf without buying a whole new unit. Optional casters available for mobility.
