Fowlers Vacola Kleerview Covers are designed for hot jam, jelly, and marmalade, giving jars the classic cellophane finish used in traditional preserving. When moistened, the covers stretch easily over the jar while the jam is still hot, then secure in place with the included rubber bands.
Each pack includes 24 square cellophane covers, 24 rubber bands, and 24 labels — a complete pack for sealing and identifying homemade batches without needing to cut anything yourself.
Important: Kleerview Covers are not suitable for pickles or chutneys with high vinegar content. Fowlers notes that vinegar can evaporate through the cover and leave the product thick and dry. For those preserves, Fowlers recommends Preserving Wax instead. For best results, cover jam while it is still hot, not lukewarm.
