The Kasumi 8cm Paring Knife is manufactured in Seki, Japan by Sumikama Cutlery, using a VG-10 high carbon stainless steel core to deliver strong edge retention and consistent cutting performance. Hardened to approximately 59–60 HRC, it maintains a sharp, stable edge through regular use.
The blade is clad in multiple layers of stainless steel, forming the characteristic Damascus pattern while improving durability and corrosion resistance. This construction supports a fine, precise edge suited to controlled, low-resistance cutting.
With an 8cm blade, it is built for detailed in-hand work including peeling, trimming and fine preparation. The compact size gives maximum control where accuracy matters.
A laminated pakkawood handle is riveted for strength and stability, providing a balanced, secure grip for everyday use.
