IOco is an Australian gift design house from Lilyfield, Sydney, making reusable everyday objects that are as considered as they are cheerful. The flagship is the All Glass Travel Cup — a coffee cup where even the lid is glass, so nothing plastic, silicone or metal ever touches the drink. Around it sits a wider world of clever reusables: inside-out reverse umbrellas with hands-free handles, steel straws and travel cutlery, glass water bottles, and a streak of genuinely fun gifts. Designed in Australia, built to be used every day, and made to replace something disposable.

EU's Take

Why We Stock IOco

We're fussy about the reusable-cup category because most of it is the same silicone-lidded thing in different colours. IOco earns its place by solving the one problem those cups don't: taste. Drinking through glass instead of plastic genuinely changes the cup of coffee, and it's the detail our coffee-serious customers notice immediately. Beyond the cups, IOco has a knack for everyday objects that are quietly well thought out — the reverse umbrella that doesn't soak you getting into the car, the steel straws that actually get used. It's Australian-designed, it's built to replace something disposable, and it makes good gifts. That's an easy yes for us.

A Sydney Studio with a War on Waste

IOco began in Sydney in the mid-2000s with a simple brief: design gifts people actually want to use, not the kind that gather dust. Working from a studio in Lilyfield, the team built ranges around three things — innovation, style and function — and a refusal to settle for the disposable. That instinct led to the product the brand is now known for: an all-glass travel cup, designed when every other reusable cup still came with a plastic lid. Two Australian Reed Gift Awards later, IOco still designs in-house in Australia, still answers its own phone, and still builds eco thinking into the details — from the products themselves to the reused boxes and paper tape they ship in.

Frequently Asked Questions

What makes the IOco cup different from other reusable cups?

The lid. Most reusable cups have a plastic or silicone lid, so your drink still touches plastic. IOco's lid is glass, like the cup — so nothing but glass meets your lips, and the coffee or tea tastes exactly as it should.

Is the glass cup safe in the dishwasher?

Yes. The cups are borosilicate glass, dishwasher safe on the top shelf, and fully sterilisable. Hand washing is fine too, but they're built to handle daily dishwasher use.

Will the glass break easily?

It's hardened borosilicate — the same glass family used in laboratory glassware and teapots — so it handles heat and everyday use well. But it's still glass: drop it on a hard floor and it can break. If you want a knockabout cup, this isn't it; if you want the best-tasting one, it is.

What size cup should I choose?

4oz Piccolo suits espresso and short blacks; 8oz is a standard takeaway coffee; 12oz is the all-rounder for flat whites and lattes; 16oz is for long drinks, tea and travel. The 8oz, 12oz and 16oz also take the tea infuser and smoothie lid accessories.

How does the reverse umbrella work?

It folds inside-out as it closes, so the wet side ends up on the inside — no drips through the house or car. The C-shaped handle hooks over your wrist to keep your hands free, and it stands upright on its own when closed. Selected styles add a UPF50+ layer for sun as well as rain.
