Genfac Plastics

Australian-Made Containers for Every Kitchen

Genfac has been manufacturing food-grade plastic containers in Australia since 1983, and their range is a staple in commercial kitchens, takeaway operations, and catering services across the country. Made from virgin grade polypropylene at their Melbourne facility, every container is BPA free, food safe, microwave safe, and recyclable. The EU Genfac range covers the containers most kitchens actually need — rectangular containers, round containers, noodle bowls, and sauce cups — with matching lids across the range sold separately.

EU's Take

What You Need to Know

Genfac containers are a commercial kitchen staple for good reason — consistent quality, reliable sizing, and lids that actually fit. The range is made from virgin grade polypropylene, which means no recycled filler material and a higher standard of food safety. All containers are BPA free, microwave safe, and carry the Australian Recycling Logo. The ribbed rectangular range is freezer grade; the rest of the range handles cold storage but isn't classified as freezer grade. Lids are sold separately across all ranges — check individual product listings for the correct match.

Built for the Industry. Made in Australia.

Genfac has spent more than 40 years making food-grade plastic containers for Australian kitchens. What keeps them on the shelves of commercial operations across the country is straightforward — consistent product quality, reliable sizing, and the confidence that comes from containers made from 100% virgin grade polypropylene under tightly controlled manufacturing conditions. In 2022 they became the first Australian Packaging Covenant Organisation to earn the right to display the Australian Recycling Logo directly on their products. For takeaway kitchens, caterers, and food service operators, that kind of track record speaks for itself.
