Acacia's dense end grain handles knife strikes better than the softer woods used in cheaper boards, and the natural figure means each board has its own character that develops further with use.

The 48 x 36cm footprint gives genuine working room for two-handed prep — long enough to break down a side of salmon, deep enough to hold a whole chicken with space for the trimmings. 100% acacia. Hand wash only — avoid soaking, dishwashers, and harsh detergents. A light rub with food-grade mineral oil every month or two keeps the surface conditioned and resistant to staining. Re-sand and re-oil if the surface scores deeply over time — the thickness gives you years of resurfacing before the board is genuinely worn out.
