Simply add water to the pan until it is near where the rim of the poacher will sit, and bring to the boil. If desired, lightly coat each egg cup with butter before placing the egg poacher gently into the pan. Crack one egg into each cup and cover the pan with the lid. Cook over medium heat until the eggs are cooked to the desired consistency.
