Cafetto Espresso Clean is a rapidly soluble and free-rinsing powder that removes coffee oils, grounds and stains from your espresso machine. Regular backflushing keeps your group heads, shower screens and solenoids working correctly, improving the flavour and aroma of every shot. It leaves no trace of odour and is NSF certified to International Protocol P152, so it won't taint your coffee or corrode the machine.

How to use — backflush each group
- Remove the coffee filter from the group handle and replace it with a blind filter.
- Add 1 level scoop of Espresso Clean to the blind filter (use 2 scoops if the machine is cleaned less often) and insert as if brewing.
- Start the cycle and run for 10 seconds to dissolve the cleaner.
- Stop and allow it to sit for 10 seconds.
- Repeat the start/stop cycle 4 more times — 10 seconds on, 10 seconds off.
- Remove the group handle and rinse well under water from the delivery group, then turn off.
- Re-insert the handle with the blind filter and start/stop 10 times — 5 seconds on, 2 seconds off — to rinse thoroughly.
- Remove the blind filter and insert a regular filter.
- Brew and discard a single espresso to re-season the machine.
How to use — clean filters and group handles
- Soak group handles and filters in 500ml of hot water with 2 teaspoons of Espresso Clean for 10 minutes.
- Rinse thoroughly in running hot water.
