What we like: Academy does something most homewares brands don't — it designs across the whole room in one consistent material language, so a lamp, a throw, a vessel, and a serving board actually look like they belong together. The natural materials are genuine (solid and veneer timbers, reactive-glaze ceramics, woven textiles), and the heritage-neutral aesthetic doesn't date the way trend-led homewares do.

Worth knowing: this is mid-premium homewares designed in Australia and made offshore — the quality is good for the price, not heirloom-grade. The reactive-glaze pieces vary from item to item, which we think is a feature, but it does mean the piece you receive won't be an exact match to the photo.
