You should be able to do this by hand but if not, use a wrench with a towel to prevent damage\u003c\/li\u003e\n\u003cli\u003eNewer shower filters should have an internal washer. In this case Teflon tape is not necessary. If you do not have internal washers, you may need 6-10 wraps of white Teflon Tape for a good seal.\u003c\/li\u003e\n\u003cli\u003eScrew both ends onto you shower connections ensuring the correct flow direction through the filter. DO\u003cbr\u003eNOT OVER TIGHTEN.\u003c\/li\u003e\n\u003c\/ol\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cstrong\u003eCartridge Replacement\u003c\/strong\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003col\u003e\n\u003cli\u003eUnscrew the connections on the inlet and outlet of the filter.\u003c\/li\u003e\n\u003cli\u003eUnscrew the top of the casing and remove the old cartridge.\u003c\/li\u003e\n\u003cli\u003eReplace the internal O-Ring (larger) in the casing with the one provided with the cartridge. Ensure the O-ring is positioned correctly in the groove.\u003c\/li\u003e\n\u003cli\u003ePlace the O-ring (smaller) on the top of your new cartridge.\u003c\/li\u003e\n\u003cli\u003eInsert the new cartridge – with the O-ring at the top and screw the casing firmly together. Do not overtighten.\u003c\/li\u003e\n\u003cli\u003e‘Flush’ your filter by running water from a tap through both ends.\u003c\/li\u003e\n\u003cli\u003eIf Teflon Tape was used for installation, remove any old Tape from the threads and re-apply.\u003c\/li\u003e\n\u003cli\u003eScrew both ends onto your shower connections ensuring the correct flow direction through the filter.
